Microsoft is requiring all customer facing employees to be certified.  I guess its hard to look like you are serious about it if your own employees aren’t certified.

Trika mentioned on her blog we’ve been running a study group for a year and half. Brad and Garth started the group with 70-290 then we moved on to 291 then 294. Now we’ve decided to jump to the new certifications for this session covering 70-620. We have yet to decide on what to cover in the new year winter session. A few of us on the side might go back and cover 70-293 and 297.

As Trika mentioned we did some tweaking from the 294 session to this session and I think it has helped us engage the participants and make the session run a little smoother.

The  OWSUG supports the 70-620 study group and they also support some smaller study groups happening by providing forum space.

We also want to give a big thanks to CTE Solutions who allow us to use their space to hold our study sessions.

If you are planning on writing a Microsoft certification exam, you might want to wait until September 15th when you can apply for the second chance. Same rules as before, go to Microsoft’s site and register before writing the exam, get a code and use that code when checking out of booking the exam with Prometric.
