For those of you who wrote the MCTS 71-640, 642 or 643, the results are now posted on Prometric’s site when you look in Candidate history. Much to my pleasant surprise, I passed the two exam I attempted. I wrote 640 and 642, and honestly didn’t think I had done overly well on either. I had thought I might have passed the network infrastructure okay but not the AD. However, it appears I have passed both, which is always a nice surprise.
Wrote 2 Exams Today
Went and wrote 71-625 and 71-626, mostly for kicks. These two exams finished beta on Feb 15 so I thought, we not go write these on Valentines day, so I did. I think I did fairly well but I’ll need to wait and see. Info on 70-625 can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-625.mspx
Second Shot Update
I found out that you can’t use the second shot unless you are paying full price on an exam. Period. No 15% book savings, no 45% MCT code, no vouchers for exams.
So if someone else is paying, no big deal. If you are paying out of your pocket, you need to decide which is better, using a free voucher or using the second shot. If you know the material well, use a voucher, if you don’t know it well, then use the Second Shot.
