Increasing Server Performance with Aligned Partitions

posted on November 24, 2008

Just a quick note, David Meyers has a found a great power point deck covering how to partition your drives to increase performance on RAID storage systems. While David points out this will help SQL Server installations, he also mentions it will help Exchange Server and other disk intensive applications as well.

Go check out his blog post at http://www.davidemyers.com/2008/11/sql-server-storage-performance-with-aligned-partitions.html and have a look.

David is also presenting at TechDays in Ottawa, so if you are not going to my presentation and have an interest in SQL Server, be sure to check out his two presentations.
